About me

Hi, my name is Sara Gil-Casanova. I am a Spanish science communication specialist living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My biggest passions are science, writing, research, technology and the Internet. They are the common link in the works I present in this page, from science books for kids and TV documentaries to website design for scientific institutions.

During the last ten years I have worked as a science writer, journalist, communication specialist, contents and multimedia researcher, web designer and technical copyeditor. Currently, I work at the Department of Physics of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Manfred Olson Planetarium.

I have worked as Head of the Communication Department for the Network of Valencian Universities (RUVID), as a freelance writer and technical copyeditor for McGraw-Hill, and I've written feature articles for the Spanish magazines "GEO", "Tribuna de Astronomia" and "Espacio". I particularly treasure the time I spent as a journalist at the Canary Islands Astrophysics Institute and as a researcher at the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Valencia.

I am open to interesting new projects. If you have one and you think I can fit in, feel free to contact me.
